65daysofstatic are an instrumental post-rock band from Sheffield. The band intersperses heavy, progressive, guitar-driven instrumental sections with both idm-esque programmed and live drums. They have released three albums and toured extensively including a main support slot for The Cure's worldwide tour following a personal request from Robert Smith.

The band have had support from Radio 1, 6 Music, XFM, MTV, Kerrang! TV, NME, The Guardian, The Sun, DiS, Time Out and Rock Sound amongst others. The band have also played Reading & Leeds, Bestival, Summersonic and Latitude in the last year alone.
